x-mess special series:

The x-mess series was our first one to be shot in a real studio using flashes instead of permanent light. We´ve been quite pessimistic that it´s going to work since Oliver is working as a camera operator normally and may be able to handle permanent light but does not have a glue about flashes. But surprisingly the series turned out to be more than satisfying! We shot it on Kodak Ectachrome 100VS (turns out to be our most beloved carrier) using a Mamiya 645 and a system of 3 flashes (3200 Watts) and one 400 W HMI filtered moonlight blue to get the blue glow on the tree. This series would not look like it actually does without the help of Hans Kraxner, an austrian photographer that rocks but does not have a homepage!
