Who is c-o-de?

c-o-de is a project run by Claudia (modelling) and Oliver (photo-
graphy). Claudia is no professional model, Oliver is no professional
photographer but we both work in some media-job and try our
best. c-o-de has it´s basis and infrastructure in Vienna/Austria.
Just where´s that in the "global village"? 3rd shack backwards to
your left?
We expect to get critizised, do us a favour and leave a message
in our "c-o-mplimaints" section if you like or dislike what we do.

What is c-o-de?

c-o-de - ...fetish into daily grind! But what for?

On one hand we believe that even in our so called liberal times
and ages there is a big gap between what we see and what we
get, especially as it c-o-mes down to our most private (but at
the same time public) spheres such as erotic, sex, desire. We get
flooded by ideas and offers that have one thing in c-o-mmon:
they are sold to us. One has to be a superheroine or the male
counterpart to c-o-ver up all the different styles and clichés that
we are c-o-nfronted with. Or at least this seems to be the logic
c-o-nclusion of the ongoing process of social changes at the
beginning of millenium no. 3. And they are not necessarily some-
thing bad.
On the other hand most of our life is, as we call it, daily grind. No
supersexual big bang around the c-o-rner, no ultra-lusty studs and 
whores, just generic viagra and the Paris Hilton tapes.
Being aware of all that and the fact that our entire social environ-
ment plays with sex and fantasy but at the same time hides
privacy and praises security we tried to express this gap between
virtual and real life experiences we make in an artistic way.

First and foremost c-o-de is all about latex and photography. Like
hundreds of thousands of other people all around planet earth we 
disc-o-vered the material and the feeling it creates on naked skin.
We started to take pictures and showed them around and (not

really surprisingly to us) almost everybody that saw them brought 
latex in c-o-ntext with some strong sexual feelings. Now just take
a look at c-o-ntemporary fashion and style. You will hardly find
one single serious designer that does not use this material. Go to
the movies, watch MTV, latex everywhere. It´s used like a
dressc-o-de making us stare.That´s why we thought that this
material is a good way to transport a despicable moment into daily
grind. The reason why c-o-de came into life is simple: we were not
really satisfied with most of the latex fashion one can buy and
started to design our own stuff. We then found out that one of the
best latex manufacturers ( www.hwdesign.at ) is based here in
Vienna. And that´s that. Of c-o-urse we use clichés like the nurse,
the waitress and whatever is going to c-o-me up on our page. We
just try to meet a certain level of quality with whatever we do.
Means designing AND photography. 

We are not going to sell you just c-o-stumes (we do!) or pictures
(but why not?), we try to sell you "c-o-stumes with a story" told
to you by our photo-series (btw, that´s why we are part of the
above mentioned sellers, too. Be aware!). A lot of our c-o-stumes
are meant to be wearable on a daily basis. We think that latex will
be an everydays material soon without losing its intentional idea:
stirring up emotions!

Needless to mention that c-o-de means erotic latex fetish photo-
graphy. We are not going to take pictures of gumboots (well, never
say never!). But as you may have disc-o-vered already by clicking
around, you won´t find a disclaimer here nor do you need a
credit-card or have to be 18 or whatever. That´s simply because
you will not find nudes here, no pornography, just erotic c-o-ntent.
